As our driver and maintenance person your main priority will be the safety and well-being of our guests and the rest of the team. On a day-to-day basis you’ll help to ensure the general upkeep of the lodges and take care of snow clearing and removal to avoid injury or accidents. Getting to Mt Buller can be a little complicated if you’ve never driven on snow or fitted wheel chains before, so we like to make it simple for our guests by providing a shuttle service from Melbourne to the mountain. We also need a competent and careful driver, preferably with experience of driving on snow and ice, to navigate our Toyota Landcruiser home and to ensure the shuttle service delivers guests in a friendly, safe and timely manor to and from the snow. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the car is kept in top notch condition, clean, tidy and running well. You’ll play tour guide and point out the sights of the Mt Buller Tourist Road, kicking off the “snow experience” for our guests whilst taking extra care to avoid any local wildlife who you might be sharing the road with. You’ll also support the bar and the Mt Buller music scene by bringing the live acts up and down the hill on a weekly basis, and of course, you’ll get plenty of time to enjoy the snow yourself, as well.
