SELF-CATERING
Please note that there are no communal cooking facilities at Alpine Retreat Mt Buller
Alpine Retreat Mt Buller is half hotel and half ski lodge. One of our many facilities includes the Alpine Retreat Restaurant, which is open every morning for a continental buffet-style breakfast (included free of charge in every room rate) and every evening for a relaxed family-friendly dinner from 6pm to 9pm during the winter season.
If you would prefer to self-cater during your stay, please ensure you book one of our self-catered apartments to allow you to do this.
Alpine rooms only contain a bar fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities and a microwave are provided in the Replenishment Station on level 3.
Our Kiosk and Lolly shop is a good place to stock up on snacks!
THE BULLER GROCER
Mt Buller has its own supermarket, located on Athletes Walk in the Village Centre. The Grocer is open all day during the winter season from 8am to 8pm and also includes a bottle shop. They carry everything from fresh food and groceries, to snacks and conveniences, newspapers and phone chargers.
The Buller Grocer even offers a hassle-free delivery service to your Mt Buller door, just go to their website and order online.
Hearty pub meals and tasty alpine dishes are the order of the day. Alpine Retreat’s in-house restaurant brings mountain and Aussie favourites to Mt Buller – the perfect place for your post-ski feed.
Settle in to our casual yet stylish dining room for a hearty meal with family or with friends. Hanging dome lights create a warm and relaxing vibe amongst the wine-stacked shelves, whileski-themed artworks compliment the stunning views of our own Australian Alps, visible through the large bright windows.
Our menu combines perfect pizzas, pub staples and a good old Aussie steak and parmigiana, plus delicious warming ramen. You’ll find something to fill up everyone, après-skiing.
We can cater for groups of 2 to 60. Children are welcome to enjoy our play room while parents watch on via video link with a glass of wine, beer or spirit from the bar.
